Lyndsey Grounds
Hi, I’m Lyndsey. I’m a fully registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) and listed with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). I am a member of The Australian Psychological Society (MAPS) and registered with Medicare.
I’ve been providing support to people in Australia and the United Kingdom for over a decade.
My extensive experience helping clients across the lifespan with both online and face-to-face formats has enabled me to provide short solution-focused therapy or longer-term therapy for adults. I aim to tailor therapy to your individual needs and circumstances.
The therapy
Research shows that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of any counselling process. In any therapy endeavour, you should feel heard, respected and understood.
I aim to work in a collaborative and flexible way and I try to be as emotionally present to a person’s pain and concerns as possible.
Tailored for you
I try to adapt the way I work to each individual person, depending on their needs, concerns and circumstances. This means I draw on a variety of different therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
My experience is that therapy works best when we can work as a team together on the problems you are facing. I welcome any enquiries to see if I might be a good fit for you and your concerns. If I’m not, I’ll aim to offer alternatives for you.
Same support, but on your sofa not ours.
Advantages of online psychology
Online therapy offers a flexible and convenient way to access support from the comfort of your own home. It saves taking precious time out of your busy schedule to travel to an appointment and offers a confidential space.
Many patients initially prefer to meet face-to-face but are surprised by the ease and effectiveness of our remote therapy sessions. Why not try a telehealth session with our Sydney psychologist today and learn whether it works for you?
The initial appointment will help us to determine if we may be a good fit.
Therapy can help support people with life’s curve balls, the hard times and the tough stuff so you don’t have to go it alone. If you’re feeling like you are stuck in a rut, as though you can’t catch a break or maybe that it’s all a bit too much, then we’re here to listen. Book an appointment or reach out today to find out more about how we can help you get back on track.
